Conquest Spare Parts department has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent months, in order to effectively scale with the company during a period of rapid growth.
Back in March 2017, Conquest relocated to our current National Head Office, with three times greater warehouse and office floor space and strategically located in Tullamarine, Victoria. This necessary investment in infrastructure also extended our warehouse capacity, further supplemented with the introduction of a new advanced racking system. Our stockholding in Tullamarine now boasts more than 20,000 items, with fast moving parts also held at all Conquest facilities, service technician vehicles and Authorised Dealers across Australia.
New systems and improved processes
With this increase in space and capacity, we have also put significant thought and investment into the supporting processes and systems that support our Spare Parts department. The introduction of streamlined parts ordering process driven by an impressive ordering system means that parts are now dispatched faster than ever. Conquest Service Technicians have fully-stocked vehicles and the ability to order directly from site, to assist in achieving their goal of minimising machine downtime. The new barcoding system permits real time visibility for the Spare Parts team at any location.
Lead by a dedicated team
Of course, all the technology in the world won’t perform to its full potential without a dedicated and committed team to make it work. National Service Manager, Max Walmaggia, is ever committed to greater efficiency and faster turnaround. “It’s all about ensuring that we have the right parts at the right time and getting them to the right place as quick as possible to minimise machine downtime”, Max explains. He is supported by Mim Trifonidis, Spare Parts Supervisor, who is heavily involved in supporting the growing volume of parts and consumables. Mim is particularly looking forward to driving positive change in the Spare Parts Department.
